Lets talk about ozone oils

Avocado Oil is very easy to absorb and when infused with ozone it is oxygen-rich and may improve the appearance, beauty and suppleness of your skin. It may be useful for minor skin irritations, dry skin and the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and blemishes.

Humectant properties keep avocado oil from drying as fast as many other oils, so the effects can last longer. Natural healers recommend it for a variety of issues.

Ozonated avocado oil boosts in skin collagen production to promote a soft youthful skin while delaying aging. Collagen is the main protein found in skin. It’s what binds, strengthens and elasticises skin; and without collagen, skin becomes wrinkly, saggy and droopy. Ozone plumps up skin with activated oxygen,  also paired with avocado oil this stimulates the production of connective tissues and new skin cell growth.

Powerful anti-inflammatory compounds promote skin elasticity to delay wrinkles, heal skin conditions including psoriasis, dry skin and sunburn.

OZONE OILS STRENGHT

Oils with a higher percentage of fatty acids typically hold more ozone. For example, ozonated hemp oil has a lot of 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids so it holds the most ozone out of all the oils. Ozonated olive oil has very little omega 3s and 6s but lots of omega 9s, putting it in the middle as far as strength.

Keep in mind that just because one oil holds more ozone, that doesn’t necessarily make it better. You also have to look at how well the oil absorbs and how it interacts with your particular skin type. For instance, ozonated avacado oil absorbs very well but ozonated hemp oil does not. Ozonated jojoba oil and ozonated coconut oil are on the lower end of the ozone spectrum, making them especially popular for beauty applications and for those with sensitive skin.

Each oil has a different amount of 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids and each fatty acid is weighed differently for the formula. The final number is called the Potential Ozonide Index (POI). See the formula and chart below.

Omega 3s (x3) + Omega 6s (x2) + Omega 9s (x1) = POI

OZONE OILS FOR ACNE

Having a high affinity to the skin sebum makes avocado oil an excellent natural skin healing agent. It’s an alternative to chemicals like benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoids that are not good for long term use. These chemicals often dry your skin, causing your skin to make more oil and aggravating the problem. It may seem counter intuitive but the best way to fight oil is with oil - oil is surprising good for you! Olive ozone oil has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects and is considered one of the most superlative herbal oils used for the treatment of the skin diseases. Scientific studies have found that over a month ozone oil was effective in treating acne vulgaris lesions.

It is an awful experience having to face the world with gross bumps and white pimples all over your face - the cause is often a mystery and hormones, stress and what you are eating often come up. The main treatments focus on controlling hard to reach bacteria or regulating hormones with the contraceptive pill or topical retinoids. While most people experience acne between the ages of 12 and 24 (80% of teenagers and youth 18), it can occur at a later stage of life as well. While is hard not to be depressed over it, instead understand the root cause and work towards treating it the right way. Acne vulgaris is a inflammatory disorder or a skin condition that happens when skin dead cells and skin oil clog hair follicles that occurs when a pore gets clogged with dead skin cells, oils and a type of bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes).

Some of the first lines of defence are using Benzoyl Peroxide, which could be carcinogenic and kills acne-causing bacteria deep in the cell debris and skin tissue. On the other hand, niacinamide reduces breakouts by preventing excess oil production is controlled and retains moisture content of the skin. Salicylic acid is a slightly different approach to exfoliate dead skin cells from the skin’s surface while dissolving debris and excess oil within the pore and has natural variations.

The last line of defence is usually antibiotics and then high doses of vitamin A to treat pimples that pop under the skin, or painful cysts. This type of vitamin A is called Isotretinoin or Accutane which can have adverse side effects like depression and tiredness; and works to regulate the amount of keratin being produced by your skin and prevent dead skin cells from sticking together and forming acne-causing blockages in hair follicles. Also to contol the skin's microbiome and mimics that of someone who doesn't have inflammatory acne, which helps clear up existing acne and reduce the bacteria that causes breakouts.

Avacado oil is comedogenic and if you are looking for non-comedogenic options jojoba and olive oil ozone oil are available. Our recommendation is that if you have non inflammatory acne or just a few spots avocado ozone oil is a great option as it’s naturally high in antioxidants like Vitamin A to clear up acne, absorbs really well, has a good strength of ozone to kill bacteria on contact and maintain a bacterial free microbiome of the skin. There are also available ozone generators to wash your face with ozonated water for an extra boost to rid acne causing bacteria. Also working out stress management strategies and what you eat, definitely staying away from dairy or anything you think might have added hormones. Also consider eating foods high in vitamin A or suppliments.

Ozone has been used in numerous ways in medicine for a long time and was patented in 1986 by Tesla in the age of invention. Ozone gas is highly unstable and cannot actively penetrate the skin cells, but can be stabilized by being trapped inside vegetable oils and which can then interact majorly with polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) present in olive oil to form reactive oxygen species. Ozone oils are made in a three step process. First, the acid value of olive oil was determined and then step two the iodine index by adding that ingredient while the vegetable oil was ozonated using an ozone generator producing 13.5 g of ozone per hour embedded in a current of medical oxygen gas at a rate of 3 L.min-1 at 25 °C for 240 hours. Lastly the peroxide value of the ozonated olive oil was determined according to the standard method of AOCS (American Oil Chemists Society). This product will be stable in a refrigerator at (2-8°C) for ten years.
